Toolbox Talk: Eye & Face Protection

Introductory · Course MIG-TBT-006

A 10-minute crew briefing on picking the right eye protection and actually wearing it.

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

A short toolbox talk on eye and face protection: safety glasses versus goggles versus a face shield, why side shields matter, why a face shield alone is never your primary protection, matching the protection to the hazard (impact, chemical splash, dust), and what to do when someone takes a hit to the eye. This talk supplements your employer's full PPE and eye protection training — it does not replace it, and it does not by itself satisfy any OSHA training requirement. Its purpose is to document that this specific talk was delivered. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 5 minutes of training means it.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
