Toolbox Talk: Water, Rest, Shade

Introductory · Course MIG-TBT-005

A 10-minute crew briefing on preventing heat illness on today's shift.

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

A short toolbox talk — the kind a foreman delivers at the start of a hot shift. It covers drinking before you're thirsty, taking shade breaks before you need them, watching your buddy for symptoms, recognizing heat stroke as a 911 emergency, and why new workers are at the highest risk in their first days. This talk supplements your employer's full heat illness prevention program and training — it does not replace them, and it does not by itself satisfy any OSHA training requirement. Its purpose is to document that this specific talk was delivered. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 4 minutes of training means it.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
