Toolbox Talk: Working Around Mobile Equipment

Introductory · Course MIG-TBT-002

A 10-minute talk on struck-by and backover hazards — blind spots, spotters, and swing radius.

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Mobile equipment kills workers on foot every year, and almost always the same way: the operator never saw them. This talk covers blind spots, making eye contact before you cross, high-visibility apparel, backing and spotters, and staying out of the swing radius. This is a toolbox talk, not a full course. It is a single-topic briefing meant to be delivered in about ten minutes, and it supplements — it does not replace — your employer's complete training on site traffic control and mobile equipment. On its own it does not satisfy any OSHA training requirement. Completing it documents that this specific talk was delivered and understood. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 4 minutes of training means it.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
