Training for qualified electrical workers on shock and arc-flash hazards under NFPA 70E and OSHA Subpart S.

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

This course is for qualified persons — workers who are trained and authorized to work on or near energized electrical equipment. It goes well beyond basic electrical awareness: it covers the shock and arc-flash hazards you face at the equipment, the approach boundaries and arc-flash boundary that govern how close you may get, the risk-assessment and energized-work-permit process, and the selection and care of arc-rated PPE. The material aligns with NFPA 70E, the consensus standard OSHA enforces through the General Duty Clause and 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S (Electrical). NFPA 70E is not itself an OSHA regulation, but it is the recognized method for complying with OSHA's electrical safety requirements, and OSHA routinely cites employers against it. This course does not by itself make you a qualified person. Your employer must still provide job- and equipment-specific hands-on training, verify your ability to work safely on the systems you are assigned, and determine and document your 'qualified' status. Use this course as the knowledge foundation that hands-on training builds on. Upon passing you receive a Migna certificate of completion with a publicly verifiable certificate number.
