This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

NFPA 70E requires retraining at intervals not exceeding three years, and additionally whenever supervision or inspection shows an employee is not complying with safe work practices, whenever new technology or changed procedures require different practices, or whenever an employee must use practices they do not normally use. This is that refresher, for someone already trained as a qualified person. It revisits what 70E is and is not — a consensus standard, not an OSHA regulation, and how OSHA reaches it anyway; the six-step process for establishing an electrically safe work condition, including the test-verify-test rule; when an energized electrical work permit is required and the narrow exemptions; the two distinct hazards and their separate boundaries; the two PPE determination methods and why they must never be mixed; equipment labelling and the five-year review; and the job briefing. It deliberately does not print boundary distances or PPE tables. Those come from the edition your employer has adopted and from your own equipment labels and incident energy study — a number memorised from a course is the wrong number for somebody's site. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 15 minutes of training means it. The 27 minutes shown above is that gate plus the quizzes and final exam, which are not on the clock.

Retraining due every 3 years

This interval comes from the standard the course is written against, not from us. The date is printed on the certificate, and we email a reminder before it lapses.
