Bloodborne Pathogens

Introductory · Course MIG-GI-103

Protect yourself from HBV, HCV, and HIV under OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Anyone with reasonably anticipated exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials needs this training — annually. This course covers how bloodborne pathogens spread, universal precautions, engineering and work-practice controls, PPE, what to do after an exposure incident, and the exposure control plan behind it all. Issues a Migna certificate of completion; annual retraining is required by the standard.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 21 minutes of training means it.

Retraining due every 12 months

This interval comes from the standard the course is written against, not from us. The date is printed on the certificate, and we email a reminder before it lapses.
