Confined Space Awareness

Intermediate · Course MIG-GI-205

Recognize permit-required confined spaces, understand entry roles, and stay out of the rescue statistics (29 CFR 1910.146 / 1926 Subpart AA).

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Confined spaces kill workers who didn't know they were in one — and the coworkers who went in after them. This awareness course teaches you to recognize confined and permit-required spaces, understand the atmospheric and physical hazards, follow the testing and ventilation sequence, know the entrant/attendant/supervisor roles and the permit itself, understand isolation and lockout of the space, and respect the one rule that prevents multiple-fatality incidents. Covers both the general industry standard (1910.146) and the construction standard (1926 Subpart AA). Awareness level: authorized entrants, attendants, and supervisors need additional employer-specific training on your permit program. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 40 minutes of training means it.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
