This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Hands-on training required. This online course provides the required classroom/knowledge instruction only. Completing it alone does not qualify or certify you to operate or use the equipment. As OSHA requires, your employer must also provide hands-on training and evaluate you on the specific equipment in your workplace — for respirators, this includes a medical evaluation and a fit test — before you are qualified.

OSHA forklift operator training has two halves: formal instruction and hands-on practical training with an evaluation. This course delivers the formal instruction — the seven truck classes and how each behaves, the stability triangle and the physics of tip-over, the data plate and load center math, attachments and their capacity penalty, the pre-use inspection, travel and pedestrian rules, ramps and docks, trailer and railcar loading, elevating personnel, LP/battery/diesel hazards, carbon monoxide, and exactly what certification requires. IMPORTANT: completing this course alone does NOT certify you to operate. Your employer must provide hands-on training and evaluate your operation of the specific truck, in your workplace, before certifying you — and re-evaluate at least every three years. Issues a Migna certificate of completion for the theory portion.
