8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
Certificate · Course MIG-HAZ-401
The annual refresher required to stay current. In development — not yet available to buy.
OSHA Outreach training — the 10- and 30-hour Department of Labor cards — is only valid when delivered by an OSHA-authorized provider. This course is in development and is not available to buy. The authorized provider will be named on this page before it goes on sale.
Online training alone does not meet 29 CFR 1910.120. Your employer must also provide hands-on training, access to a qualified trainer, and — for the 40-hour course — three days of supervised field experience before you work on a hazardous-waste site.
The annual 8-hour refresher required by 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(8) for anyone holding HAZWOPER certification. Covers changes in the standard, lessons from recent incidents, and a review of site safety procedures, decontamination, and emergency response.
The refresher is due every 12 months. Letting it lapse means returning to the full initial training, not simply taking the refresher late.
