This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

California has an enforceable heat standard that goes well beyond anything federal OSHA requires. This course covers 8 CCR §3395 (Heat Illness Prevention in Outdoor Places of Employment) in practical terms: the 80°F shade trigger, the 95°F high-heat procedures, potable water at one quart per employee per hour, preventative cool-down rest periods, acclimatization and the first 14 days, emergency response, and the written Heat Illness Prevention Plan — plus the indoor counterpart, 8 CCR §3396. This is awareness and knowledge training that supports your employer's §3395 training obligation. It does not replace it: your employer must still have a written, site-specific Heat Illness Prevention Plan and must train you on its own procedures in a language you understand. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 28 minutes of training means it. The 36 minutes shown above is that gate plus the quizzes and final exam, which are not on the clock.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
