Unguarded machinery causes thousands of amputations, crushing injuries, and deaths a year. This course covers the hazardous motions and actions of machines, the three areas that must be safeguarded, the full range of guards and safeguarding devices, what makes a guard adequate, the lockout/tagout boundary for servicing and jam clearing, and the specific requirements for common machines — abrasive wheels, power presses, saws, and conveyors. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.
