Respirator types, fit, use, and care under OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134).

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Hands-on training required. This online course provides the required classroom/knowledge instruction only. Completing it alone does not qualify or certify you to operate or use the equipment. As OSHA requires, your employer must also provide hands-on training and evaluate you on the specific equipment in your workplace — for respirators, this includes a medical evaluation and a fit test — before you are qualified.

When engineering controls can't keep the air clean, respirators become the last line of defense — and they only work if they fit, they're right for the hazard, and they're used correctly. This course covers respiratory hazards, respirator types and their limits, the medical evaluation and fit testing requirements, and daily use, seal checks, and maintenance. IMPORTANT: completing this course alone does NOT qualify you to wear a respirator on the job. Respirator use requires your employer's written program, a medical evaluation, and a hands-on fit test on the specific respirator before use. Issues a Migna certificate of completion for the knowledge portion.
