Scaffold Safety Awareness

Introductory · Course MIG-CON-104

Safe use of supported scaffolds for users and erectors' awareness (29 CFR 1926 Subpart L).

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Scaffold incidents injure thousands of construction workers a year, most from falls, being struck by falling objects, or scaffold collapse. This course covers the scaffold families and how each fails, foundation and capacity rules, platform construction, safe access and mobile scaffold limits, fall protection and the 10-foot trigger, falling-object protection, electrical clearances, weather limits, and the competent-person inspection and tag system that stands between a platform and a fatality. Awareness/user level: scaffold erection and the competent-person role require additional hands-on, employer-specific training. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 38 minutes of training means it.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
