Slips, Trips & Falls Prevention

Introductory · Course MIG-GI-107

Prevent the most common workplace injuries — walking-working surface hazards (29 CFR 1910 Subpart D).

This is a Migna Safety Solutions course with a Migna certificate of completion. It is not OSHA Outreach Training and does not include a Department of Labor card.

Slips, trips, and falls are among the leading causes of workplace injuries and deaths across every industry. This course covers the mechanics that separate the three, the surface and contaminant conditions that cause them, housekeeping and lighting, footwear selection, the Subpart D requirements for stairs, floor openings, and elevated surfaces, and the movement habits that keep you upright. Issues a Migna certificate of completion.

Seat time is enforced on our servers. The clock is calculated from signed progress events rather than in your browser, so it cannot be sped up — a certificate that states 19 minutes of training means it.

This certificate does not expire on a clock

The standard behind this course sets no fixed retraining interval, so we do not print one. Retraining is triggered by events instead — a new hazard, a changed process, or an observed deficiency. Your employer or insurer may set their own interval, which is a real obligation but not a federal one.
